Helping the community and creating community is a big part of what drives my purpose in life.

I have worked for Solent Mind, a city farm to feed the community, and cooked for the community in the past. I held a talk at Mad4Dance for 8- to 14-year-olds to discuss what I had learned in life, happiness, other ways to combat mental health, and my journey. Afterwards, as a group we created vision boards, and the outcome was truly heartwarming! Tough audience, but we got through to them!

One of my purposes in life is to use the skills I have to help people from the heart to improve their wellbeing and health and be truly happy, which you can definitely help me with by sharing and spreading the word.

One of my projects is the New Forest wellbeing group that may help someone you know or you. This has been incredibly successful, changing people's lives for the better. It creates an amazing environment that attracts like-minded people. I ask everyone to speak from the heart, not the head, and look at what can be achieved.

I also run the Youth Wellbeing Project with young adults, aged 18 to 25 years old, suffering from mental health issues, which is growing at an alarming rate, and those are the ones discussing it with their doctors, not including the ones who suffer in silence. They feel hopeless before they have even started! Together, we can change that.

Another community event is the Wednesday wellbeing walks in Southampton city centre in partnership with Go! Southampton to improve peoples wellbeing, that is supported by Lorna Fielker.

Two people, one with serious autism and one with learning difficulties, who could not socialise and never felt part of something have been coming since it started, and now they are a big part of the community, feel welcome, connected, part of something, and even make jokes and are smiling a lot. A person made friends here at an event for coffee on another occasion outside the group, and at Christmas, one of them was going to be on her own, so they got invited to Christmas lunch. Real friends and connected from the heart. Someone had to drive to the carpark three times in the week leading up to the event due to anxiety, but now they are seeing their anxiety issues improving. Many more heartwarming stories.

We are building a community where everyone goes away happier and learns something along the way. People have done so much outside of the events to keep spreading kindness and love, so it does not stop there.

People's mental health has improved dramatically by being able to talk openly (from the heart), listen, and learn from kind people. Many people have shared their most personal thoughts with me and others, which they haven't told their closest family. There is no saying "I'm okay" or "I'm fine" here.

All the information about the events I host is on the website; please see the links.

Finally, keep an eye out, as lots of other projects and events are coming up.

Happy Within - improving wellbeing

Join us at our monthly Wellbeing Wednesday’s at Foundry!

Each month, we'll introduce you to a wellbeing expert who will share insights and advice on how to maintain a healthy work-life balance, manage stress, and optimize your overall wellbeing.

You'll have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, ask questions, and gain practical tips and techniques to implement in your daily lives.

This month we’re delighted to welcome Mark Darcy who will cover the following during this session:

  • How do we become happy within and create this magical life?

  • Have you always said that you would improve your wellbeing but have never committed?

  • Want to increase your life expectancy by up to 10 years?

  • You will definitely take away things to improve your wellbeing. It would be very strange not to choose to spend your time on your wellbeing. It will be the best investment you will ever make.

New Forest Wellbeing Group

New Forest Wellbeing Group & so much more!

I started by organising these events to spread love and kindness, which is a big purpose in my life. I also run other projects that may benefit you or others because I have seen a big need for them. It has been so successful in every way, more than I ever imagined, and they have helped so many people in so many ways, which filled my heart with so much joy. You will need to be quick because they fill up quickly!

We are building an incredible community, and even some people say a family. We have been building something special and changing people's lives for the better, and everyone is a part of that, so thank you. Hopefully, you will join this group to improve your wellbeing and health.

Looking to improve your life and wellbeing and have some fun along the way? Are you looking to get out with some like-minded people? Trying to figure out how to be happier?

My name is Mark Darcy, and I am the founder and creator of the New Forest Wellbeing Group, which aims to help you with your wellbeing and mental health and have a lot of fun doing it. The group will be doing walks, talking from the heart, picnics, camping, meals out, and other events.

My own purpose in life is to spread kindness and love with a caring attitude. This is the perfect way to achieve that, along with the other projects I do. Also, I am trying to change the world by bringing people together through spreading kindness, love, and compassion, which fills my own heart with so much joy! It’s a win-win for everyone.

I believe I can help you find some happiness and hopefully understand yourself more, especially in this crazy world we live in.

I encourage everyone to bring an open mind and a willingness to meet new people and make lasting, meaningful friendships. Our group will aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for anyone who needs it, and everyone over 18 is welcome. I will also offer some mindfulness and self-care strategies on our walks to help promote positive mental health.

The purpose is to bring like-minded people together while socialising face-to-face, helping people combat loneliness and mental health issues while having some meaningful conversations and connections.

My goal is to create a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I hope to inspire and empower our members to lead healthier and happier lives.

So, if you're ready to join a community that values kindness, mental health, and wellbeing while having some fun, then the New Forest Wellbeing Group is the perfect group for you.

Looking to improve your life and wellbeing, and maybe have some fun along the way? Are you looking to hang out with some like-minded people? Trying to figure out how to be happier or deal with negative thoughts? Feel like you do not belong?

My name is Mark Darcy, and I am the founder and creator of a Youth Wellbeing Group that aims to help you with your wellbeing and mental health and have some fun doing it.

My own purpose in life is to try and change the world by bringing people together through spreading kindness, love, and compassion, which fills my own heart with so much joy! It’s a win-win for everyone.

I have vast experience in life, coming from a tough childhood to being a successful, wealthy international businessman. Besides being a sponsored triathlete and having suffered from mental illness myself in the past, I am now truly happy and grateful for the small things in life that we can miss, and I look at my thoughts in a different way because we are very unkind to ourselves. Is there good or bad? Or maybe life is a journey, and along the way, we experience things that we learn from.

I believe I can help you find happiness and hopefully understand yourself more, especially in this crazy world we live in when we can feel hopeless.

I am the founder who set up this group to try to help people between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. Collectively, my own life experiences, the great outdoors, amazing venues, 6-week practical courses, and peer-to-peer support from young people like you who have had challenges can demonstrate how they are starting to deal with them.
